Guangzhou Adventure….Day 2-ish

Despite the heat, the *misunderstandings* and the rat…oh no, sorry… LARGE mouse in our staff room, this place is starting to feel like home.  Well, if I turn my head and squint just right, it does.

The best thing about this opportunity is realizing that kids are the same everywhere. From the terribly ernest Harry to the very animated Marcus, and even english names like “Seven” and “Flash”. All in all, they are terribly precious.

Our energy is still low.  The heat is draining, and while we are mostly all sleeping quite well, we are still suffering the interruptions to our circadian rhythms.  This city is not the assault on the senses that Beijing was, but the pace is still extreme, as is the staring, and even pointing by the citizenry at our little group whenever we venture forth onto the street.
